Still need to write about the moving process, but figured I better get month 2 written up, as we are now in month 3.
Here's a recap of what we did in Month 2 (May 20 something to June 20 something, again in random order).
* Got most of everything unpacked, and learning what we do and don't like about the apartment. Really like everything aside from an occasional issue with ants running along the baseboards (solved within 48 hours with an ant trap and then they tend to return in 2 weeks), the lack of a light in the dining nook (found something to order…eventually), and some of the appliances (noisy dishwasher and ice maker in the freezer, stove/oven that is slower than our old one, and a hinge on the washer that is a bit touchy).
* Started Lily in swim lessons. She's doing faboo!
* Saw the last weekend of the Jamming Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom.
* Memorial Day pool party at the apartment complex.
* Explored Star Wars weekends and got to see the fireworks show…twice!
* Bought Lily a bed.
* Took Lily on Soarin' for the first time.
* Went to the opening of the Co-Op marketplace.
* Had Lily's Lola come and visit and had daddy, Lily, and Lola take a trip to the Orlando Science Center.
* Had Lily take her first trip on The Haunted Mansion.
* Did the Magic Kingdom 24-Hour event (although we only stayed until 11-ish).
* Went on a 3-night cruise on the Dream to Nassau and Castaway Cay. Literally booked on Monday and got on the ship on Thursday!
* Visited the Winter Garden farmer's market and let Lily play at the splash pad.
* Went to Universal CityWalk and to Margaritaville.
* Saw Lily at her first princess meet and greet (with Rapunzel and Ariel).
* Started two new jobs (for me) and had Erwin star his new job (although that technically goes in the Month 3 update, but it is so cool that I'll just mention it again).
* Dining at Disney (new for us since we arrived in FL): Tangierine Cafe, End Zone (All Star Sports), Contempo Cafe, Fountain, Fountainview, bluezoo, Earl of Sandwich, Pizza Planet.
* Lily and daddy got to visit our really awesome local park.
A busy July 4th weekend is on tap…time to get it all started!
